Short vlog of our trip up to Rocklands Farm Winery in Poolesville, MD

Maryland has been a top region for American viticulture since the 17th century, home to fantastic wineries throughout its Piedmont Plateau, Eastern Shore, Southern plains, and Western mountain regions. Since the passing of new wine industry legislation in 2000, the state’s wineries have offered flight tastings and pours at lovely public tasting rooms, many of which offer seasonal outdoor patios and live music performances.

Farm wineries throughout the state’s rural and suburban areas are home to romantic bed and breakfast resorts and quaint restored farm buildings, while urban wineries offer wine education classes and make-your-own-wine experiences. The annual Maryland Wine Festival, one of the East Coast’s largest wine festivals, also draws tens of thousands of wine enthusiasts to Westminster each September.

We recommend that you call the attractions and restaurants ahead of your visit to confirm current opening times.
