    Spectacular! Exceeded expectations!

We had initially planned to do something else and got discouraged by the distance to that place… then I looked up waterfalls near Indianapolis and that one popped up with good reviews. I’ll tell you the pictures here don’t do justice. I found it amazing that they have an upper and lowe fall, which you can kinda of see from both sides (I almost crossed over the lower falls to check the other side, but since I hadn’t bought swim trunks I decided not to, but then later decided to go in the water in the upper falls). The trails are along the water and quite pleasant too! Will definitely one back soon!

    A time of mourning.

My oldest son Jay took me on a 4000 mile trip to help me in a very bad time in my life. Two of my highlights were the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green Kentucky and the Indianapolis Indiana Racetrack. To see these wonderful sites and to be able to enjoy it with one of my kids was so great. Jack

    Close, free parking and clean

Immaculate zoo with beautiful habitats. We have visited many zoos and this one was a great surprise. A beautiful African exhibit with a created stream throughout. Waterfalls. Animals appeared to be in good health and active. We enjoyed seeing the African white pelicans – a bird we had not seen at other zoos.

    Experience a wonderland!

After looking for things to do on TripAdvisor, we decided to check out IMA. What a pleasant surprise to find an incredible treasure awaiting us!

We spent the afternoon engaged with the immersive Monet experience – Lume. Afterward, we walked through various galleries and were thrilled to find works that are wold renowned! We ended up in touring thw grounds and found ourselves in an enchanted Garden just outside the museum. We could’ve spent two days there, it was a lovely experience and we would highly recommend to anyone wanting to spend an afternoon immersed in a beautiful world of art and culture and nature and history!

Part of the whole West Baden experience. See it while going shopping to shop. The shops and museum circle the huge atrium. Eat, drink, and shop. What a great time.

Review of: USS LST Ship Memorial

Living history of the Greatest Generation

We toured LST 325 as it visited up and down the Ohio River this summer. If you are a student of WWII, have kids and are looking for a Very different outing, or if you’re looking for something completely different, LST 325 is for you.

The last surviving operational Landing Ship, Tank, that served in WWII (including during D-Day), this ship has been lovingly restored and is kept operational by a dedicated band of volunteers. These same men (and a few women) are very knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour guides during your visit. Much of the ship has been restored to its original wartime appearance and it is a real revelation to see how wars were fought 80-odd years ago. You will have access to all the major areas of the ship and will be able to view some restricted areas (like the engine room) through viewing windows or ports.

Plan on spending at least an hour. Wear sturdy shoes, be prepared for steep Navy-style ladders, and bring water if it’s a hot day because there is no AC in this warship. The self-paced tours are greatly enhanced by the volunteers at every stopping point.

The gift shop is your final stop on the tour. It has a lot of neat stuff (especially for kids) and this is one easy way to support this effort – it takes a lot of $$$$$ to keep the ole’ girl up and running. Highly recommended is the book, Bringing Back a Hero, by Capt. Robert D. Jornlin, about the trials and tribulations of getting the LST 325 back to the USA from its then home in Greece.

    Review of: Candles Holocaust Museum

Everyone should experience this museum full of important information!

This is a Gem that is history preserved! Young and old should visit and learn the stories that Eva Kor wanted to share. She worked hard to gather the items and knowledge so that all could know what occurred. You will be able to hear the story of a Holocaust survivor. And be able to ask questions too! Our docent was Nancy. She greatly enhanced our visit. Check it out for yourself. I’ve recommended it to everyone! I pray my children and grandchildren get to visit someday. Thank you for preserving this information.

    Quick Stop

We merely stopped by to see the Peyton statue, but the stadium is very unique and cool looking from the street. Much different from just about any other NFL stadium I’ve been in.There is some parking in front of the proshop that you can park in for up to an hour which is nice, which worked out perfectly for us as we were merely wanting to quickly stop to see Peyton and move on with our road trip.
