We have launched an Impact Calculator to help you understand the tremendous impact that recycling and repurposing your items can have. Input the amount of clothing, accessories, housewares, and furniture that you have donated or plan to donate, and the calculator will give you an accurate score.

Can I donate a mattress to Goodwill Industries?
Unfortunately, mattresses cannot be donated to Goodwill. Although Goodwill would love to accept all donations, some items cannot be accepted for health and safety reasons. Bedroom furniture that cannot be accepted includes mattresses, pillows, bed frames, bunk beds, hide-a-beds and waterbeds.
No doubt, there are a number of items in these categories that are suitable for reuse. However, these items may sometimes pose a threat to the safety and health of our staff or new owners. To ensure the safety of all, we cannot accept them.

This 48-hour priority service comes with a fee, but it should be especially beneficial for those involved in major clean-ups. Our hauling partner will take your donations to Goodwill, but they will also clear out any items that Goodwill is unable to accept and take them to a nonprofit or a recycler. College Hunks Hauling will come to your property and pick up items from anywhere.
