Refine the Story
Every child can be sure to finish your book with a big smile on their face! I can help you make sure your story is one that children will want to keep reading. To make this happen, it is important to steer clear of predictable stories, create suspenseful moments throughout the plot, maintain a consistent pacing, and create a satisfying ending.
Focus on Characters
Creating characters that people will remember is no easy task. In order to make sure your characters have broad appeal and are unique, I can provide some tips to help you create a character that children will never forget.
Focus on Language
Comparing the right word to the almost right word is like comparing the desert to dessert. When I edit, the most frequent change I make is reducing the length of the text – generally authors add additional phrases and because children’s books are so concise, each word is of utmost importance.
